End-to-end co-packing platform for a food manufacturer: marketing site, smart lead intake, AI-personalized brochures, and a team sales portal.
The challenge
Contract manufacturing and co-packing requires vetting brands based on production scale, ingredient profiles, and minimum run volumes. Without structured intake, facilities waste hours filtering unqualified leads or answering repetitive compliance and capacity questions.
Emerging food brands also need transparency around food safety certifications like SQF and GFSI, formulation adjustments, and line minimums before committing to a production run.
What we built
Kompani built an end-to-end digital platform spanning over 30 targeted capability pages, compliance overviews, and technical culinary services.
The system includes:
- An adaptive multi-step discovery form that qualifies prospects by operational scale and ingredient requirements
- A comprehensive searchable resource library with white papers, case studies, and operational guides
- An AI chat concierge for 24/7 visitor assistance
- An internal team portal for pipeline management, proposals, and client health tracking
- AI-generated prospect brochures with trackable private links and meeting booking
- Automated email via the company's Gmail for daily digests, new-lead alerts, and outreach
In plain English
- A food brand visits the site, fills out a smart form, and is automatically scored — the team only sees leads that meet their minimums.
- When someone downloads a white paper, the right team member gets an instant alert and a follow-up task.
- The team can generate a fully researched, personalized brochure for any prospect in one click, then track whether it was opened or forwarded.
- Every lead, task, document, and client conversation lives in one secure place — no spreadsheets, no lost emails.
How it works (technical)
Frontend: React and Vite, styled with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. Routing separates the public marketing site from the authenticated team portal.
Backend: A managed cloud backend provides authentication, a relational database with row-level security (only admins can access sales and client data), serverless functions, and hosted workflows. Approximately 24 serverless functions handle prospect research, brochure generation, email sending, meeting booking, and lead assignment.
Data model: Core records include leads, lead tasks, brochures, client health records, batches, quality-control reports, client documents, client journeys, and articles.
AI: The AI layer researches prospects using live web data and reads product pages from the prospect's own site. It writes structured brochure content, produces call-prep research per lead, and powers the chat assistant on the public website.
Integrations: Gmail sends all system and outreach email from the automation@ address with replies routed to sales@. Google Drive hosts the marketing library.
Automations: Scheduled and event-triggered workflows deliver a daily lead digest and instant new-lead alerts to the team.
Search and AI discoverability: Per-page titles and meta descriptions, structured data (Organization, Service, FAQ, and Article markup), a sitemap, an llms.txt file, short summaries and Q&A sections on content pages, and video markup.
Security: Sensitive uploads such as recipes and NDAs are stored privately. The portal is restricted to authenticated admins. Brochure links use unguessable tokens.
Why it matters
Automating technical qualification protects line managers and culinary leads from administrative overhead while giving serious food brands a clear path to scale. The platform builds brand trust through transparent compliance disclosures, deep knowledge resources, and a seamless intake experience.
